Ferrero Rocher – The Devils Bollocks
SEASON 2 – EPISODE 7 – Ferrero Rocher – The Devils Bollocks
Ferrero Rocher, a fine beautifully presented easy quaffing chocolate treat for the entire family, available and sold in almost every major supermarket in the Western World.
Please watch this video BEFORE you buy your next box of Ferrero Rocher.
This chocolate treat has been on supermarket shelves since 1982, selling almost 4 billion of these devils bollocks a year in over 40 countries with over 60 % of the sales being made over the three months of the festive season. A 24 piece box of Ferrero Rocher with a total chocolate weight of 300 Grams has an incredible 245 Grams of packaging, thats over 10 grams per chocolate. 10 grams of not widely recyclable plastic for every Ferrero Rocher we consume. So thats 40 billion grams of plastic or 40,000 Tonnes (44,000 of your American Tonnes) annually. That is four times heavier than the Eiffel Tower. So every year, and mainly at this time of year, we throw away, as the civilised people we are, the equivalent weight of 4 Eiffel towers in Ferrero Rocher packaging, for our children or our children’s children to sort out. This stuff is going to sit around the planet, pollute our oceans and pollute our food supply for possibly 100’s of years.
